The pond is divided into two parts, the northern one, with the spring flowing into the southern one. The bottom of the pond appears dark blue, hence the name Black Dragon Pond. Surrounded by lush forests, the pond offers a tranquil and picturesque setting. Water gushes out from the pond, forming a small river that gurgles southward to join the Songhuaba Reservoir.
