Shangtianzhu (Faxijiang Temple) is located at the foot of Baiyun Peak beside Lingyin Tianzhu Road in Xihu District. Starting from Lingyin, along a quiet path called "Foyuan Pedestrian Street", and then walking into the mountains, there are three unknown small temples, collectively known as the Tianzhu Three Temples, namely Shangtianzhu Faxi Temple, Zhongtianzhu Fajing Temple, and Xiatianzhu Fajing Temple.

The Faxi Temple, located in the deepest part, is the crown of the three temples in Tianzhu. Its mountain gate is tall and majestic, and it looks like a large temple at first glance. The temple as a whole has a garden design concept, with small bridges, flowing water, fountains, a quiet environment, not too many people, and a garden design that allows you to steal half a day of leisure from your busy life.

Built in the 10th century, Shangtianzhu Faxijiang Temple is the birthplace of the White-robed Guanyin in China, boasting a history of over a thousand years. Su Shi, in his poem "A Tour of the Linggan Guanyin Temple in Tianzhu in the Rain," wrote: " The silkworms are about to age , the wheat is half-yellow , the rain rolls in front of and behind the mountains. The farmers have put down their hoes, the women have abandoned their baskets, and the white-robed immortal is in the hall."
