Introducing Longsheng Nanshan Ranch
Nanshan Ranch is located at the northern end of Longsheng, closely connected to the Nanshan Scenic Area in Chengbu, Hunan Province. Together, they are known as the "Hulunbuir of Southern China." Nanshan, a gently sloping, open natural grassland, is the widest alpine plain in Longsheng and is known as the "Roof of Longsheng."
The Longsheng Nanshan grasslands cover over 50,000 mu (approximately 1,500 to 1,700 meters) and rise between 1,500 and 1,700 meters above sea level. Ascending along the Nanshan Highway, known as "Leaping Four Hundred Spins of Verdant Landscape," visitors ascend to the high grassland slopes, where a breathtaking sea of clouds exudes a sense of grandeur and soaring above the summit. On clear days, visitors can witness cattle and sheep grazing on the terraces and hear the distinct pastoral songs.
The trees on the Nanshan grassland grow in a very special way. They all grow beside the streams. The course of each stream is surrounded by Yinyi trees. From a distance, a stream is a winding forest belt, protruding high on the green felt-like grassland, with crisscrossing trees marking the direction of each stream.
The milk, beef, mutton, fruits, and vegetables produced here are all the freshest, purest, and most environmentally friendly foods. Nanshan pears are considered a treasure among pears, known as "Nanshan Sugar Pears" for their exceptional sweetness, tenderness, and flavor. Nanshan is also Guangxi's largest production base for high-altitude, pollution-free vegetables. Nanshan radishes, as sweet and crisp as sweet potatoes, are especially popular as a summertime treat, especially since they are available in the height of summer.
Climate and best time to travel
The mountain has no distinct seasons. Aside from a brief, snow-covered winter, the climate is almost always pleasant, like spring and autumn. Therefore, Nanshan is a great place for a summer getaway. In addition, from April to May each year, azaleas and rhododendrons fill the valley, creating a particularly beautiful scene.
