The China Lantern Museum is located at No. 6 Gongyuan Road, Zigong City, Sichuan Province. It was established with the approval of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage (92) Wenwubozi No. 793 as a specialized institution for the "collection, protection, research and display" of Chinese lanterns. It is a county-level public institution at the national level and the only professional museum on lantern culture in China and even in the world. It is also the core of Zigong City's "Southern Lantern City" construction and an important symbol of the "Southern Lantern City" image.
