Introducing Cockington Gardens

Located approximately 15 kilometers from Canberra's city center, Cockington Gardens was created by Doug and Brenda, a family who yearned for their homeland in England. The gardens are a 12:1 scale miniature world. The Cockington family has run Canberra Gardens for over 40 years and has won numerous awards in Australian tourism circles.

This unique park is a collection of villages in Yorkshire, England, complete with a Gothic building, Kentish Oust House , churches, English pubs and the famous Stonehenge, along with miniature versions of the villagers who enjoy this small English community.

Their lives are vividly portrayed, including going to church, playing cricket, going in and out of bars, herding sheep, etc. The exquisite gardens surrounding the miniature landscape are planted with nearly 30,000 kinds of rare flowers and plants planted by the owner himself, which is also one of the reasons why it is worth visiting.
