Redbank Gorge , located at the western end of West MacDonnell National Park west of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory , is a captivating gorge, named for the maroon-red color of the mountains on either side. It has a permanent pool at the bottom and is a sanctuary for many endangered plants and animals.

Buley Rock Pools is a popular swimming spot . Wade across and enjoy the beautiful bush setting, or just sit back and relax with the cool water flowing over your shoulders.

There are two basic campgrounds within the canyon: Woodland and Ridgetop . Both campgrounds have restrooms, wood fire pits, and picnic tables. The Woodland site also has free gas barbecues. Reservations and fees are required.
