The Shanghai Concert Hall, located on Yan'an Road in Huangpu District in the city center, was designed by China's first generation of modern architectural masters, Fan Wenzhao and Zhao Chen. It is also the oldest existing European classical-style music building designed by Chinese architects in Shanghai.
