Introducing Puji Bridge

Puji Bridge, commonly known as the Shengtang Bridge, is located in Nanshi, Jinze Town, in front of the mountain gate of Yihao Temple. Built in 1267 during the third year of the Xianchun reign of the Song Dynasty and rebuilt in 1723 during the first year of the Yongzheng reign of the Qing Dynasty, it is a single-arch stone bridge. It is 27 meters long, 2.75 meters wide, and has an arch diameter of 10.5 meters. Constructed of purple stone, it exhibits the characteristics of Song Dynasty bridges and is the oldest arched stone bridge in Shanghai.
