Located in People's Square, the Shanghai Tianchan Yifu Stage occupies the heart of Shanghai's heart. It is Shanghai's longest-running and largest theatrical venue. Formerly known as the Tianchan Stage, it was known as the " Far East's Largest Theatre , " leaving an immortal legend in China's century-long theatrical history.

The two-story auditorium seats 928 people, 812 downstairs and 116 upstairs . The comfortable and spacious seating is meticulously optimized for optimal viewing and listening, including the focussing effect of the seating and the acoustic properties of the panelled wall materials. Central air conditioning is also included. Electronic screens on either side of the stage display subtitles during performances, making it easier for the audience to follow along.
