Dongziguan Village, located in the western part of Shichangkou Town, Fuyang, enjoys a unique geographical location, facing the Fuchun River and backed by a mountain range. Rich in cultural heritage and renowned for Yu Dafu's novel of the same name, it serves as the central point between two prefectures, two counties, and two towns. It is 135 li each from Hangzhou and Yanzhou Prefectures, 45 li each from Fuyang and Tonglu County, and 15 li each from Shichangkou and Jiangnan Town. It is 10 li east of Yangzhangsha and 10 li west of Tongzhou Island. With convenient land and water transportation, the location offers distinct advantages and a superior living environment.

The village boasts nearly 100 ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties, many of which are still exquisite. It was also a renowned ancient waterway pass, boasting numerous historical sites of considerable development value, such as the remains of the "official ship port," the "Yue Stone Temple," and the ancient post road. On November 9, 2016, Dongziguan Village in Changkou Town, Fuyang District, Hangzhou City, was proposed for inclusion in the fourth batch of China's traditional villages list, as announced on the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development website.

In addition, there is the world-renowned Dongziguan Orthopedic Hospital, the Xu Family Courtyard and the "Chunhetang" medicine shop described in Yu Dafu's novels, and the "Sister Mountain" where beautiful scenery and moving legends blend together. The administrative village consists of two natural villages, Dongzi and Tujia.

Climate and best time to travel

Subtropical monsoon humid climate; the new Hangzhou-style houses in Dongziguan, the designer tried to use abstract and freehand symbols to construct a contemporary village with a sense of space, courtyards and alleys, and the charm of the Jiangnan region, which is suitable for travel in all seasons.
