Bao Family Garden, located in She County, Anhui Province, is a classic example of a Chinese private garden, combining traditional Hui-style gardens with Hui-style bonsai . Along with Suzhou's Humble Administrator's Garden and Wuxi's Liyuan Garden, it is considered one of the " Three Famous Private Gardens of Jiangnan . " Partially damaged during the Taiping Rebellion, it has been restored to its original appearance.

The garden, covering over 360 mu (approximately 1,000 acres), houses a collection of nearly 10,000 bonsai works. It embodies the essence of bonsai styles from both home and abroad, incorporating precious flowers, plants, vines, and trees from all corners of the world, and integrates pavilions, terraces, bridges, and flowing water. It is the largest, most beautiful, and most distinctive manor of the Huizhou merchants in China. It is known as the " Mother of Oriental Gardens " and a " Mecca " for bonsai enthusiasts .
