Introducing Deyi Hall

Deyi Hall, located in Hongcun, is a typical Hui-style courtyard residence. It was built in 1815 , the 20th year of the Jiaqing reign of the Qing Dynasty . It is a two-story, three-bay building with sixteen and a half lotus doors in front of the hall, indoor and outdoor passages, a pond in front of the hall with a culvert connected to the canal, and bonsai of the four seasons around the pond. The courtyard is full of flowers and sparse trees, with lush greenery, and can be called an " open-air flower hall " .

A kiwi vine from southern Anhui climbs the east wall. Two gardens, one visible and one hidden, are planted with fruit trees and abundant flowers. Fish tanks, waterside pavilions, and a serene pond nestle beside it. Water within a garden, a garden within a water. Fish swim, whitewashed walls, green tiles, and stained glass windows add to the scene. The experience is breathtaking, with every step, a breathtakingly beautiful scene. This is a quintessential Hui-style private garden.
