Dog sitter

We will be in Vegas over thanksgiving and are looking for a dog sitter for an evening or two. Well trained dog, jsut don't want to leace her in the hotel all evening while we have plans. Most pet sitting services or daycares wants a meet and greet prior which isn't really doable if we are on vacation. Open to individuals with references or businesses. Staying at Caesars Palace and no car so location is important.

For a short-term dog sitting solution in Las Vegas near Caesars Palace, especially over Thanksgiving, you have several options even if you don’t have a car. Since you prefer someone who can come directly to your hotel or pick up your dog without a prior meet-and-greet, you’ll want to focus on on-demand pet sitting services and professional in-home sitters.

  • Rover.com: This platform allows you to find local dog sitters who offer drop-in visits, overnight stays, or in-home boarding. Many sitters have references and verified profiles. You can filter by availability, location (near Caesars Palace), and services offered. Some sitters may agree to meet briefly at check-in instead of a formal meet-and-greet.
  • Wag! App: Wag! offers on-demand dog sitting and dog walking. You can request a sitter to come to your hotel for a scheduled timeframe. Sitters are background-checked, and you can view reviews and references. Some may accommodate a first-time visit with minimal introduction.
  • PetFriendly Concierge Services: Some local concierge or luxury hotel services in Las Vegas can arrange vetted pet sitters to come to your hotel room. Caesars Palace may have recommendations for trusted local sitters who have experience with hotel pets.
  • Local professional pet sitters: Look for small independent businesses in the central Strip area, such as “The Dog House Vegas” or “Vegas Pet Sitting.” Contact them directly to explain your situation; experienced sitters often make accommodations for short-term visitors if references are provided.

Tips for success:

  • Contact multiple sitters ahead of time to ensure availability over Thanksgiving, as many may already be booked for the holiday weekend.
  • Have your dog’s essentials ready (food, water, medications, toys, leash) and provide clear instructions to make the sitter’s visit smooth.
  • Confirm with Caesars Palace if there are any hotel policies for in-room pet sitting visits to avoid any surprises at check-in.
  • Consider leaving a brief video introduction of your dog if the sitter can’t meet in person beforehand; it helps them get comfortable quickly.

With these options, you should be able to find a trustworthy, convenient sitter for your dog while you enjoy your Thanksgiving activities in Las Vegas.
