Hi thank you in advance for any insights into these hotels near clearwater

Best Western Pus Yacht Club or Safety Harbor Resort and spa ?

I am having trouble deciding although I am leaning towards the Safety Harbor but understand its important to secure a room in the renovated building and not in the dated spa building?

Both the Best Western Plus Yacht Club and the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa have their merits, but they cater to slightly different experiences. Your choice may depend on whether you prioritize convenience and budget or a more upscale, resort-style experience.

Best Western Plus Yacht Club:

  • More budget-friendly and practical if you are focused on proximity to Clearwater Beach and the area’s attractions.
  • Modern, comfortable rooms with basic amenities suitable for a short stay.
  • Good option if you plan to spend most of your time exploring Clearwater and the beaches rather than relaxing at the hotel.
  • Simple, reliable service but fewer luxurious touches.

Safety Harbor Resort and Spa:

  • Upscale resort with a historic charm, offering a full spa and wellness experience.
  • Rooms in the renovated building are significantly updated with modern furnishings and better amenities; the spa building is dated and less comfortable, so booking the renovated section is important.
  • Beautiful waterfront setting along Old Tampa Bay, providing a tranquil, resort-style experience.
  • Resort amenities include pools, spa treatments, and on-site dining, making it a destination in itself rather than just a place to sleep.

Considerations:

  • If your trip is primarily about visiting Clearwater Beach, restaurants, and sightseeing, the Best Western Plus Yacht Club is convenient and cost-effective.
  • If you want a relaxing, resort-like experience with spa services and a picturesque waterfront, go for Safety Harbor Resort, but ensure you book a room in the renovated building to avoid the older spa wing.
  • Check for deals or packages at Safety Harbor Resort, as sometimes the upgraded rooms are competitively priced.

In summary, for a practical, central location near Clearwater attractions, the Best Western is a solid choice. For a more luxurious, relaxing experience with resort amenities, Safety Harbor Resort in the renovated building is worth the extra investment.
