condo rental
Hello,
We will be in the area for a long weekend in Feb. As a last minute trip we are looking at where to stay. We're flying into Miami and out of Ft Lauderdale. We would prefer a quieter area without all of the extra fees (resort fee, parking, etc.), We are open to Miami, Hollywood Beach. Pompano Beach or anywhere else in that area that may have what we're looking for!
Thank you!
For a quieter, more relaxed long weekend in February without the extra fees like resort charges or parking, you have several good options along the Broward/Miami corridor. Since you are flying into Miami and out of Fort Lauderdale, focusing on areas in between or just north of Miami might save driving time while keeping the experience calm and affordable.
Here are some considerations:
- Hollywood Beach: This area offers quieter beachfront condos compared to Miami Beach. You can find short-term condo rentals directly on or near the Broadwalk. Many rentals include free parking and avoid resort fees. The Broadwalk area is great for walking, biking, and casual dining.
- Pompano Beach: North of Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach has less crowded beaches and a mix of condos and vacation rentals. Look for properties near the beach for easy access. Some rentals include private parking and do not charge resort fees.
- Sunny Isles Beach / North Miami Beach: These neighborhoods are quieter than central Miami and often have condo rentals directly on the beach. You can find smaller buildings with fewer hidden fees.
Tips for booking:
- Check Airbnb, Vrbo, and local vacation rental agencies for condos that specify “no resort fees” and “free parking.”
- Focus on smaller condo buildings rather than large resorts to avoid extra charges.
- Book as soon as possible, since February is a popular time in South Florida and last-minute availability may be limited.
For a combination of convenience, calm, and cost savings, Hollywood Beach or Pompano Beach condos are likely your best bet. You’ll have beach access, quieter surroundings, and fewer surprise fees, while still being within a short drive of Miami or Fort Lauderdale airports.
