Las Vegas 40th Trip with little brother
Hi all,
I am turning 40 in Apr and have been given the green light to go to Vegas with my youngest brother (27). My parents will be in Vegas for part of it as we are all going to meet up for the Eagles at the Sphere.
My previous visits are all over 10 years ago and previously stayed at:
Ellis Island
Planet Hollywood
Mirage
The plan is to stay mid strip to give brother the best experience (he's been once for two nights but stayed off strip. Currently I am inclined to return to PH as it's decent enough, good location and lively. Had thought about the Cosmo- but I don't think we can get a strip view with two queens.
Looking for some advice on:
Mid strip mid tier hotels with good views- who are you booking with?
Which is the go to show these days- previous seen Love, Abisnthe, and another CDS that I can't remember
Reputable companies for airport limo transfers- might as well make the most of it.
thanks
Sounds like an amazing trip for your 40th! Here’s a breakdown of suggestions based on your needs for hotels, shows, and airport limo transfers.
1. Mid-Strip Hotels with Good Views
Given you want to stay mid-strip for a good experience, here are some great options with decent views and a fun atmosphere:
- Planet Hollywood – As you mentioned, PH is a great option with a central location, lively vibe, and decent pricing. It's known for its energetic atmosphere, and the hotel itself is right in the heart of the Strip.
- The Cosmopolitan – The Cosmo has fantastic views, especially if you can snag a room with a terrace. While it's true that two queens may not come with a Strip view, there are still excellent city views. It also has a trendy vibe, great for younger crowds.
- Paris Las Vegas – This is another solid mid-tier hotel with good location and views. Some rooms overlook the Strip and the Eiffel Tower, and it’s lively without being overly noisy.
- Caesars Palace – Known for its luxury feel, Caesar's is a bit on the higher end of mid-tier but still offers good value for its location and the variety of dining and entertainment it offers.
- Flamingo – If you want to keep the budget down but still be in a good location, Flamingo is a solid pick. You can get a Strip-view room in some cases and the hotel has a relaxed vibe, making it a good balance for your trip.
2. Shows to See
Since you’ve already seen Love and Absinthe, here are some newer options that might be perfect for your trip:
- O by Cirque du Soleil – A stunning water-themed show that’s a fan favorite. It’s visually breathtaking and a must-see if you’ve never experienced it.
- The Beatles LOVE – Even if you’ve seen it before, this show is always worth revisiting. It’s a vibrant mix of Beatles music with amazing Cirque du Soleil performances.
- David Copperfield – One of the best magicians in the world, Copperfield’s show is classic Vegas entertainment. It’s a mix of wonder and awe, with a touch of humor.
- Atomic Saloon Show – If you want something quirky and offbeat, this is a fun, wild West-inspired variety show with a lot of humor and entertainment.
- Blue Man Group – A sensory experience of music, comedy, and art. This is another great choice for something a bit different.
3. Airport Limo Transfers
For airport transfers, here are some reputable limo services that provide a luxury experience:
- Presidential Limousine – They are one of the most established limo companies in Vegas. They offer airport pickups, stretch limos, and VIP experiences.
- Bell Limousine – Known for their punctuality and excellent customer service, Bell Limousine offers a range of luxury vehicles, including SUVs and stretch limos.
- Vegas Limo Service – This company offers a variety of vehicles from sedans to SUVs to party buses. Their airport transfer service is reliable, and they often have special deals for first-time customers.
- Limo Ride – A newer option with competitive pricing and solid reviews, they offer great service for an affordable price.
Conclusion:
It sounds like you’re already set for an amazing trip! For your hotel, you’re on the right track with places like Planet Hollywood, but if you're looking for something a little more chic, The Cosmopolitan is always a fun choice. For shows, you can’t go wrong with the classics like O or Love, and for limo transfers, any of the above companies will get you to and from the airport in style. Hope you and your brother have a fantastic time in Vegas!
