Solo female traveller - Las Vegas stay

Hi. I’ll be staying in LV at the end of a tour in mid-September. I’m looking for a budget-friendly hotel to stay in where I’ll feel safe and can easily walk around. I’m an older traveller and would probably prefer to the on the strip but I need to be conscious of my budget as it’s part of a bigger trip. I’d love your suggestions. Thanks!

Las Vegas is a popular destination for solo travelers, and there are plenty of budget-friendly hotels along the Strip that offer a good balance of safety, convenience, and affordability. Here are some recommendations for budget-friendly accommodations where you can feel comfortable and easily walk around:

  • The LINQ Hotel + Experience - This hotel is located right on the Strip, offering a central location at an affordable price. It's a good choice for solo travelers as it has a lively atmosphere, with easy access to many attractions like the High Roller observation wheel, shops, and restaurants. The area is very safe, and the hotel is well-known for its modern rooms and amenities.
  • Flamingo Las Vegas - A classic Vegas hotel located in the heart of the Strip, the Flamingo offers budget-friendly rooms and a prime location for exploring the area. The hotel has a tropical theme and is within walking distance of many popular casinos and attractions. The Flamingo's location on the Strip makes it a great option for solo travelers who want to be in the action without spending too much.
  • Excalibur Hotel & Casino - Excalibur is another affordable option, located towards the southern end of the Strip. It's a fun, themed hotel that’s well-suited for travelers on a budget. The hotel offers decent amenities, including a pool, and is close to many restaurants and shops. The Strip is very walkable from here, and you'll feel safe exploring the area during the day and night.
  • Park MGM Las Vegas - If you're looking for a more modern hotel experience without breaking the bank, Park MGM is a great choice. It offers comfortable rooms, a good range of dining options, and easy access to attractions along the Strip. It's centrally located, which means you'll be close to the action but can still enjoy a peaceful atmosphere at night.

In addition to these options, consider checking for deals or discounts on booking websites like Booking.com or Expedia, as these often offer the best prices. Make sure to read recent reviews from other solo travelers to get a sense of the safety and convenience of each hotel.

In terms of safety, the Strip is generally well-policed and quite safe, especially during the daytime. However, it's always a good idea to stay aware of your surroundings. Stick to well-lit areas, and consider using the hotel's safe for your valuables. Walking along the Strip is very convenient, and most of the major attractions are within a short walk of each other, making it easy to explore.

Las Vegas has a lot to offer for solo travelers, and staying in a budget-friendly hotel in the heart of the Strip will give you easy access to the city's vibrant atmosphere without the high costs. Enjoy your trip!
