Get ready to throw eggs...South Strip aint so bad!

A little in process trip report

The good

Quick easy check in at Luxor

Pyramid corner suite big on 2nd floor. No inclinator!!!

Drink service has been fast and attentive

Casinos pretty lively. Not dead at all.

People movers between Luxor and Excalibur fully operational. But quite loud. I suspect soon to be out of order again

Starbucks mobile app ordering is a godsend. Skip the line folks!

Casino taketh but then gaveth away last night. Up a wee bit after 24 hours.

Sportsbooks and sports bars look all set up for the Super Bowl by 9am local time. More on this topic post game.

The bad

Ordered a late burger at a sports bar with the Mrs. $24 +10 truffle fries upgrade. We were fully prepped for this but oy vay. So dumb we didnt check my vegas for a discount. I am a moron. Ha!

2nd floor room is dark. Like dungeon like dark. Suits my wife's preferences perfectly however. C'est la vie!

It sounds like you’re having quite the Vegas experience! Here’s a detailed response based on your trip report so far:

The Good

  • Quick Check-In: Great to hear that your check-in at Luxor went smoothly! It’s always a relief when you don’t have to deal with long lines or delays, especially after a flight.
  • Pyramid Corner Suite: That sounds like a nice room upgrade. The 2nd-floor view may be a bit limited, but the size and the iconic pyramid layout are still a great perk. It’s a shame about the lack of an inclinator though – it’s part of the Luxor charm, but good to know it might be on the outs.
  • Drink Service: It’s awesome that the drink service has been fast and attentive. That’s key when you’re trying to relax or enjoy your time at the casino. No one wants to wait too long for a drink in Vegas!
  • Casino Vibe: Nice to hear that the casinos have been lively! It’s always a fun atmosphere when there’s energy in the air. Hopefully, that continues throughout your stay!
  • People Movers: While they might be a bit noisy, it’s great that the people movers are working between Luxor and Excalibur. Hopefully, they continue to operate without any issues. They’re a convenient way to hop between properties.
  • Starbucks App: I totally agree! The mobile app for Starbucks is a game changer. Skip the lines and get your coffee fix quick – especially useful when you’re on the go in Vegas!
  • Casino Wins: Love hearing about the little wins! Always good to walk away a bit ahead after some casino action. Hopefully, the luck continues!
  • Super Bowl Setup: Sounds like the sportsbooks and bars are all set for Super Bowl Sunday – that’s when the real action begins! Can’t wait to hear how it went post-game.

The Bad

  • Expensive Late-Night Burger: Ouch, that’s a bit of a bummer! $24 plus $10 for truffle fries is a hefty price for a late-night snack. It’s always tough when you forget to check MyVegas for discounts, but hey, it happens to the best of us! Hopefully, the burger was worth it!
  • Dark Room: It’s interesting that the room is on the dark side, but if that’s what your wife prefers, then it’s a win for her! Luxor’s lighting can be a bit dim in certain areas, especially on lower floors. Hopefully, the ambiance works out for you both!

Sounds like you’re making the most of your Vegas trip, with a mix of fun and a few hiccups here and there. I hope the rest of your stay continues to be filled with great moments and more lucky wins! Enjoy your time and Super Bowl festivities!
