Visa

Help please

I’ve filled out my visa application online 19/02/25

How long have I got to take it now to the Manchester service centre

We not travelling until 18/06/25

Will the visa be dated from the day we visit the centre or the day of the application I did online

Just worried with it only been valid for 3 months

Any help very grateful

When you submit a Chinese visa application online, the application itself has a validity period for when you must submit your supporting documents and passport to the visa service center. Typically, after completing the online form, you should submit your documents within a few days to a few weeks, depending on the local visa center's rules. Since you applied online on 25th February 2025, you should check the exact submission deadline provided by the Manchester Chinese Visa Application Service Center, as they may have sent an email or confirmation notice specifying a cut-off date.

For your travel in June, it’s important to note that the validity of the visa is usually counted from the date the visa is issued, not from the date of the online application. So even if you applied online in February, the visa itself will only be valid once it is processed and stamped in your passport at the visa center.

Given that you are traveling on 18th June 2025 and you mentioned that the visa form is valid for 3 months, here’s what you need to consider:

  • Ensure that you submit your documents and passport to the Manchester center well in advance so that your visa can be issued before your travel date.
  • The 3-month validity usually refers to the period within which you must travel to China after the visa is issued, or the period in which you can enter China after the visa starts. The exact start date of validity is the date the visa is issued by the consulate, not your online application date.
  • You may request a later start date if the visa center allows it, so that the validity aligns with your travel plans in June.

Recommended steps:

  • Contact the Manchester Chinese Visa Application Service Center directly to confirm the latest date you can submit your application and passport after the online form submission.
  • Submit your passport and documents as early as possible in May or early June to allow processing time and ensure your visa validity matches your travel dates.
  • Double-check the visa type and entry dates so that you are not restricted by the 3-month validity before you depart.

In summary, the visa validity is counted from the date it is issued, not the date you submitted the online application. Make sure to submit your documents to the center well ahead of your travel to secure the visa with the correct entry dates.
