Hotel near Las Olas?
I am still researching trying to get familiar with the area. The Las Olas Blvd area looks nice. We like places within walking distance to shops, restaurants etc. Is there anything on the beach that is walkable to here?
Las Olas Boulevard is the heart of Fort Lauderdale’s dining, shopping, and nightlife scene. If your goal is to be within walking distance of restaurants, boutiques, and galleries, you have several good hotel options in and near the area. Staying directly on the beach is possible, but keep in mind that the closest beach access to Las Olas is about a 10–15 minute walk, or a very short drive.
Hotels directly on Las Olas or very close to it:
- The Pillars Hotel: Upscale boutique hotel along the Intracoastal Waterway, within easy walking distance of Las Olas restaurants and shops. Offers a quieter, more intimate feel.
- Embassy Suites by Hilton Fort Lauderdale 17th Street: A short walk or ride to Las Olas, offers spacious suites and complimentary breakfast. Good for families or larger groups.
- Riverside Hotel: Historic boutique hotel on Las Olas Boulevard itself, perfect for being immersed in the local vibe and nightlife.
Beachfront hotels with reasonable access to Las Olas:
- B Ocean Fort Lauderdale: Modern beach resort directly on Fort Lauderdale Beach, about a 10–15 minute walk or a short drive to Las Olas. Offers beach access, pools, and restaurants on-site.
- Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort: Luxurious beachfront property with pools, restaurants, and amenities; roughly a 10–15 minute walk to Las Olas.
- W Fort Lauderdale: Trendy beachside hotel with upscale amenities and nightlife, within a short distance to the start of Las Olas Boulevard.
Tips:
- Walking from the beach to Las Olas is doable, but consider bikes or scooters for convenience, especially if you plan to explore the entire length of the boulevard.
- Many of the Las Olas hotels are smaller boutique properties, which means limited on-site parking—so check if parking is included if you plan to rent a car.
- If being right on the sand is a priority, prioritize the beach resorts and plan for short walks or rides into the boulevard.
Overall, you can easily combine the beach experience with quick access to Las Olas, either by staying at a boutique hotel on the boulevard or a modern beachfront resort within a short walk.
