Best airport for Beverly Hills

Will be arriving early morning and need to be in Beverly Hills for a morning meeting.

Debating between LAX and BUR. Leaning toward LAX but not excited about the hike to the rideshare lot.

For a morning meeting in Beverly Hills, both LAX (Los Angeles International Airport) and BUR (Hollywood Burbank Airport) are viable options, but each has pros and cons depending on your priorities, such as travel time, convenience, and ease of ground transport.

LAX: This is the main international airport and likely offers more flight options, especially if arriving early in the morning. From LAX to Beverly Hills, the distance is approximately 12 miles. Travel time in early morning traffic is typically 25–35 minutes, but LA traffic can be unpredictable, so allow extra buffer time.

  • Pros: More flight options, frequent arrivals, close to major highways to Beverly Hills.
  • Cons: Rideshare pickup involves walking from the terminal to a designated lot, which can be a bit of a hike and sometimes crowded. Security and luggage claim lines may be longer than at smaller airports.

Burbank Airport (BUR): Smaller airport with easier and quicker terminal-to-rideshare access. From BUR to Beverly Hills is around 16–18 miles, typically 25–40 minutes in light morning traffic.

  • Pros: Much easier to navigate on arrival, shorter walks for rideshare or taxi pickup, smaller crowds, generally quicker exit.
  • Cons: Fewer flight options, especially if flying international or from a major airline that doesn’t serve BUR. Slightly longer drive distance to Beverly Hills compared to LAX.

Recommendation:

  • If convenience after arrival is your top priority and you prefer a smoother, less crowded experience, BUR is a better choice. You’ll save time getting to your rideshare or taxi.
  • If flight availability or cost is your main concern, LAX may be necessary. Just plan extra time for walking to the rideshare lot and potential airport congestion.
  • Regardless of the airport, consider using a rideshare app with pre-scheduled pickup if possible, or confirm with your hotel for a shuttle option to save stress.

In summary, for a quick, stress-free transfer to Beverly Hills for a morning meeting, BUR is often the smarter choice despite slightly fewer flight options. LAX is fine if flights are limited, but you’ll need extra buffer time for walking and traffic.
