A few restaurant questions

Will be there in a couple of weeks. I haven't been since May last year.

If anyone has been recently to these places, I have some questions.

Coops: Have they been offering their soft shell crab po boy this season?

Clover Grill: Anyone know what their "Pie of the Day" has been lately?

Le Croissant d'Or: I thought I read they were moving from Usulines to Exchange Alley. Have they done that?

Side note: We're finally going to try Vampire Cafe. Their blood type cocktail matches mine and what I like! We'll be there for dinner.

It's great that you're heading back to New Orleans! Here's what I know about the places you're asking about:

Coops Place: Yes, Coop's has had their soft shell crab po' boy on the menu in previous seasons, and it's definitely a favorite. However, availability can depend on the season and supply. Soft shell crabs typically come into season in the spring and early summer, so if you're visiting in the next couple of weeks, they might have it. It's always a good idea to check directly with them when you arrive or call ahead to confirm if they are offering it at that time.

Clover Grill: Clover Grill is known for its daily "Pie of the Day," which can vary greatly depending on the day. While I don’t have the exact recent offerings, the pies typically rotate between classic diner-style pies like coconut cream, key lime, or chocolate cream. It's a good idea to ask your server what the pie of the day is when you arrive, as they can change frequently.

Le Croissant d'Or: As for the move, they did plan to relocate to Exchange Alley, but as of recent reports, they have not yet made the full move. They are still located at their original spot on Ursulines Avenue. However, it's always worth double-checking with them online or by phone just before your trip, as renovations or changes could happen in the near future.

Vampire Cafe: It sounds like you're in for a fun experience at the Vampire Cafe! The "Blood Type" cocktail is definitely a unique touch. Make sure to enjoy their thematic vibe and eclectic menu. The restaurant has become a popular spot for both the atmosphere and the fun cocktails, so you're in for a treat!

Enjoy your trip and have a fantastic time dining in New Orleans!
