Lilacs at Alpenglow

Help!

Drove all the way to Idyllwild but I can’t find the address to Alpenglow lilacs. Doesn’t come up in Maps.

If anyone has it, please respond.

Alpenglow Lilacs in Idyllwild is not a commercial property with a typical street address, which is why it doesn’t appear in most map searches. It is a private garden that opens to the public seasonally for the lilac bloom, usually in late April through early May, and visits are often coordinated through local garden tours or by contacting the property directly.

Here’s what you can do to find it:

  • Check the Idyllwild Garden Club or the local Chamber of Commerce for current seasonal listings; they often provide maps and directions for Alpenglow and other private lilac gardens.
  • Some tour guides or local social media groups post the coordinates or detailed directions each year when the lilacs are blooming.
  • Call local businesses in Idyllwild, like nurseries or visitor centers, as they often know the best way to access Alpenglow during bloom season.

Tips for visiting:

  • Arrive early in the day if possible; parking is limited and the garden is small.
  • Respect the private nature of the property—follow any posted rules and be mindful of the owners’ requests for visitors.
  • Bring cash or small donation if requested, as many seasonal private gardens appreciate contributions to help maintain the flowers.

Since Alpenglow Lilacs is seasonal and private, it’s best to confirm access ahead of time before making the drive to Idyllwild. If you miss it this year, consider visiting other public gardens in the area or timing your trip for the next bloom season.
