I bought my husband tickets to the Dodgers vs Brewers game for July 19th on StubHub for his birthday and it wasn't until after I purchased everything that I saw all the horror stories about StubHub... However, I was transferred the tickets within minutes after purchasing and they show up in the Ballpark App for me... Should I assume that I have nothing to worry about with the tickets being valid come game day?
I also made the brilliant decision to purchase a parking pass for Preferred Parking Lot K on Stub Hub... has anyone else done the same for Dodgers Stadium and had positive results, or did I waste $70? I am terrified of showing up to this event and getting through traffic to access parking and find out my pass is not valid.
And which gate will be best for me to enter through to access Lot K? I already had a couple people tell me to avoid Downtown Gate, which is closest to Lot K... I plan to have us at the stadium right as the gates are opening, if that helps at all.
And last question, I promise! How does the whole bobblehead situation work? They will be having Fernando Valenzuela Bobbleheads that day and my husband's jersey has that guy's name on it... So I am REALLY trying to make it there in time for that. Is it just first come first serve at any of the gates?
Any help is greatly appreciated and sorry for all the confusion on my behalf. I definitely learned my lesson and will never plan something like this again without doing my research.
First, congratulations on the birthday surprise! Here’s a detailed breakdown to help ease your concerns and plan your day at Dodger Stadium on July 19th.
StubHub Tickets: Since you received the tickets almost immediately and they appear in the Dodgers Ballpark App, you can generally feel confident they are valid. StubHub guarantees delivery and authenticity, so having them in the app is a strong indicator. Many fans have successfully used mobile tickets transferred this way without issue.
Preferred Parking Lot K: Paying for a parking pass through StubHub for Lot K is common and should be valid. Dodger Stadium parking passes purchased through official or secondary markets like StubHub are typically scanned at entry, so you shouldn’t have a problem. Plan to arrive early to allow time for traffic, which can be heavy even on non-peak days.
Best Gate for Lot K: While the Downtown Gate is closest, some fans suggest entering through the West Gate (closest to the parking lot’s main entrance) to avoid congestion. Staff usually direct people efficiently, but if you’re aiming to be first in line, Downtown Gate is fine as long as you give yourself extra time.
Bobblehead Giveaway: The Fernando Valenzuela bobbleheads are typically first-come, first-served while supplies last. Distribution usually begins at the stadium gates when they open, and each fan must be present to receive one. Since your husband’s jersey is related, this adds to the excitement, but it doesn’t provide priority—so arriving right at gate opening is key.
Additional Tips:
In summary, your tickets and parking pass should be valid. Arrive early to ensure you get your bobbleheads and a smooth parking experience. Enjoy the game and the birthday celebration!
