Dairy free pancakes near Elgin

Hello, we've been on holiday in Chicago and Wisconsin for two weeks and have struggled quite a bit getting suitable food for our youngest who has a dairy allergy. We have our last few days in Elgin and really want him to be able to get pancakes. Does anyone know of anywhere within 20 ish minutes of Elgin that does dairy free pancakes/crepes/French toast or waffles? He's able to have eggs and gluten, just not dairy.

Also any recommendations for any other good restaurants with dairy free options would be great. We have really struggled!

Thanks for any help.
