- Art and Culture: Visit the Palm Springs Art Museum in nearby Palm Springs for contemporary and Native American art, or explore the outdoor sculptures at Civic Center Park.
- Outdoor Excursions: Consider a day trip to Joshua Tree National Park or a short drive to the Coachella Valley Preserve for hiking among unique desert landscapes.

Additional Tips:
- Renting a car is essential to explore the area efficiently, as attractions are spread out.
- Mid-October temperatures are usually 85–90°F during the day and cooler in the evenings, so pack layers for mornings and nights.
- Sun protection is important; bring sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses for outdoor activities.
- Evenings are lovely for walking around El Paseo Drive or having cocktails at your resort patio.
