Maui Humane Needs Fosters/Adopters

Hello Dog Lovers,

I just found out that the Maui Humane Society desperately needs foster homes or adopters for dogs. The shelter is experiencing overcrowding and will begin euthanizing certain at risk dogs by October 30! This is a wonderful organization we started supporting after the devastating Lahaina fires. We love the work they do and want to get the word out about saving these dogs! They transport dogs to the Mainland too! For more info you can go to their website Mauihumanesociety.org.

Mahalo!

The Maui Humane Society is currently facing a critical situation and urgently needs foster homes or adopters for dogs. Due to overcrowding, some at-risk dogs may be euthanized if homes are not found by October 30. This is a crucial time to support the shelter and help save these animals.

The Maui Humane Society is a well-established organization, known for its compassionate care and commitment to animal welfare, particularly following the devastating Lahaina fires. They work tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs and other pets in need.

Key ways you can help:

  • Foster a dog: Temporarily provide a safe and loving home for a dog while they await adoption. This frees up space at the shelter and can save lives.
  • Adopt a dog: Provide a permanent home for a dog in need. The shelter has a variety of dogs, each with unique personalities and needs.
  • Spread the word: Share information about the urgent need for fosters and adopters with friends, family, and social media networks.
  • Support donations: The shelter accepts financial contributions, supplies, and volunteer help to assist with care and operations.

Additional points:

  • The Maui Humane Society also facilitates transporting dogs to the Mainland, expanding adoption opportunities beyond the island.
  • Visiting their website, mauihumanesociety.org, is the best way to get current information on available dogs, adoption procedures, and how to sign up as a foster home.

If you love dogs and want to make a direct impact, now is an especially important time to help. Even short-term fostering can make the difference between life and death for these animals.
