Wugong Mountain Experience Sharing (Shenzhen-Ji'an), two days and one night,

We arrived at Ji'an West Station at 9:00 AM on Saturday (to catch the direct bus in the morning, we arrived in Ganzhou on Friday night). The West Passenger Terminal is on the right after exiting the station. We waited in the waiting room for the bus and bought our bus tickets on the Didi app. Tickets are 9.99 per person if purchased two days in advance, and the same applies to the return trip. We arrived at the Tourist Service Center at 11:40 AM, where there's a restaurant. After lunch, we went to the waiting room to wait for the scenic shuttle bus. Since it was the weekend, the shuttle bus was full and left. We drove for half an hour up the mountain to the trailhead of the Ancient Official Road (if you're taking the cable car, get off at the next stop). We started the climb at 1:20 PM. The area ahead was all forested, so we didn't get sun. We arrived at Guanyin Temple at 2:20 PM. We reached a platform at 3:20 PM. It was less crowded than Golden Summit and perfect for drone flying. I recommend taking lots of photos here (Pictures 1-4). We continued our ascent at 4:30 PM and arrived at Golden Summit at 5:30 PM. It was crowded and foggy. We planned to stay at Guanyindang (mainly because Jinding was crowded, and we wanted to see the scenery from Diaomazhuang to Guanyindang the next day, but we were worried about the long descent from Jinding and missing the 10:30 AM bus, and we were also concerned about tent hygiene). So we took a quick photo at Jinding before heading to Diaomazhuang.
We watched the sunset on the way to Diaomazhuang (sunset on September 13th was around 6:30 PM). There's a small observation deck in the middle with a great view (Figure 5). We arrived at Diaomazhuang at 7:00 PM. There was free hot water at the restroom entrance, and we had instant noodles, which was delicious.
We rested for an hour. We set off for Guanyin Dang at 8:00 PM. The road was flat all the way, but it was a long one. We walked for over an hour, first on a glass plank road, then on a wooden plank road. There were almost no people and no lights along the way. I regretted it immediately, wondering why I had to endure this ordeal. I even considered hiking back the next day to save time, but it was a good thing I didn't, because you can only see the beauty of this section of the road after daybreak. Hahahahaha (Photos 6-10). It's officially the most beautiful section of the scenic area.

We arrived at the Guanyin Dang campsite a little after 9:00 AM. Finally, there were people there. We checked in at the Visitor Center, which was about 50 meters to the right. There were toilets, free hot water, and a shop nearby. The overall environment was nice (Figure 11), and the tent quilts weren't smelly. It was a bit noisy with people arriving before midnight, but it quieted down after that, and I slept soundly. Sunrise was at 6:00 AM, so I woke up at 5:00 AM to wash up and have breakfast. Then I went to the viewing platform to the right of the tent area, a five-minute walk away. You can also take the trail to the top of the hill ahead, which is probably also very close and offers a better view. I was very lucky to see a perfect sunrise. It's said that on the morning of the 14th, the fog at Jinding was too thick to see the sunrise (Figures 12-14). At 6:30 AM, I headed back to Diaomazhuang. I was once again impressed by the stunning scenery along the way, taking photos all the way until 8:00 AM when I finally reached Diaomazhuang. I descended the mountain along the path next to the Diaomazhuang toilets (Figure 15). There didn't seem to be any signage here, and I passed through a small tent area. I saw this path on the map, but it was exposed to the sun without any shade, but it was a quick descent. We descended the mountain, passed a waterfall, and were lucky enough to see a rainbow.

You can't take the Ji'an cable car down from Diaomazhuang.

Walked back to the highway and waited for the scenic bus at Juxianlou.

One problem is that the descending scenic bus is usually full once you stop it. We had to wait until the third bus to get a seat. Perhaps we could catch an ascending bus first, get on, and then descend.
