Detailed Travel Guide to Must-Visit Attractions in Antalya

💚🇹🇷 Antalya, as Turkey's most famous coastal resort city, is located right next to the Mediterranean Sea. Many Europeans love vacationing here, making it perfect for a slow-paced lifestyle. I stayed here for ten days and found it truly reminiscent of Europe—everything is natural and beautiful. Below are the must-visit spots in Antalya! 👇🏻

Hadrian's Gate
Hadrian's Gate is a relic from the reign of Roman Emperor Hadrian (117-138 AD). The gate is well-preserved, and parts of the ancient city walls still remain around it. Located in the city center, it’s a must-visit spot for all tourists!
🕰 Recommended visit time: About 20 minutes

Kaleiçi Old Town
Entering through Hadrian's Gate leads you to Kaleiçi Old Town, the most famous ancient town in Antalya. While the old town has many travel agencies, restaurants, and small shops, it doesn’t feel overly commercialized or crowded like Lijiang. It has many tranquil alleys where you can take stunning photos anywhere—perfect for tourists! Walking towards the seaside, you’ll see the Mediterranean and mountains in the distance, resembling a paradise without any filters!
🕰 Recommended visit time: About 1.5-3 hours

Kaleiçi Marina
Adjacent to the old town is one of Antalya’s most famous attractions—Kaleiçi Marina. During the Eastern Roman Empire and Ottoman Empire periods, it was an important port in the Eastern Mediterranean. Today, many people sunbathe and swim by the port, and you can also take a boat from here to Düden Waterfalls. There’s even a sightseeing elevator nearby that offers a panoramic view of the marina—a popular photo spot!
🕰 Recommended visit time: About 1 hour

Aspendos Ancient Theater
Previously introduced in my guide, Aspendos is one of the best-preserved ancient Roman theater ruins in the world. It’s truly breathtaking—check out my 🇹🇷 collection for more details!
🕰 Recommended visit time: About 1-2 hours (round-trip bus ride takes 4 hours)

Düden Waterfalls
Also featured in my earlier guide, Düden Waterfalls is a popular attraction and truly spectacular. You can find more details in my collection!
🕰 Recommended visit time: About 1-1.5 hours

Antalya Museum
It’s hard to believe this is one of Turkey’s 🇹🇷 top museums, but it’s indeed massive, showcasing numerous artifacts, including ancient relics, items from Phoenician colonies, and many sculptures from the 2nd century. These exhibits illuminate the history of the Mediterranean and ancient Anatolia—absolutely worth visiting!
🕰 Recommended visit time: About 1-2 hours

Right across the street from the museum’s main entrance is a fantastic viewing platform. The perspective here is excellent, with people even paragliding, creating a picturesque scene! You can also enjoy a cup of coffee ☕ while soaking in the beauty of nature!
🕰 Recommended visit time: About 30-60 minutes
