[Aomori] A beautiful white museum where you can see masterpieces

The Aomori Museum of Art, easily accessible from Aomori Station and Shin-Aomori Station, is an impressive museum with chalk-white architecture that makes use of the natural terrain. It is also recommended to visit the adjacent Sannai-Maruyama Ruins.

The museum has a permanent exhibition of works by artists with ties to Aomori, such as Nara Yoshitomo's "Aomori Dog" and Munakata Shiko.
The huge Chagall stage backdrop painting, over 9 meters in size, is also a masterpiece!

In the summer of 2025, there will be a variety of special exhibitions, such as the "Sano Nui Exhibition" and the "Munakata Shiko 50th Anniversary of Death Exhibition." There are also cafes and shops, so you can enjoy yourself at your leisure.

A place where you can enjoy art and architecture and experience a quiet, extraordinary experience. Perfect for a stopover while sightseeing in Aomori ◎
