Citra Sasmita's enigmatic wall art at the Bali Kuta bus station.

Encountering this strange work of art on a building wall at the bus station is a mindtrip. Like many other artworks, when experienced perhaps it is better not to ask why, or how, it came to be, at this unlikely location. Its vastness is impossible to capture in one frame, overlooking an abandoned piece of land that looks like it is currently being developed. With decapitated heads circulating around waves, and tree-headed humanoids with severed limbs, its absurdist, and magical-realist tinges remind us of Dali's many twisted anatomical art pieces, Bosch's triptych "The Garden of Earthly Delights", and that French film directed by René Laloux, "La Planète Sauvage", among others.
