Sapushen Mountain is worth all the travel hassle (Guide version)

The long-awaited Sapushen Mountain is finally here!!!! Totally worth the 10-hour drive! The moment we arrived, the weather cleared up and it was so beautiful, really easy on the eyes!!!

1️⃣ Itinerary: It takes about 10 hours driving from Bangor County to Yangxiu Township. Staying at Hotel No.1 is pretty good, and they even have Sichuan cuisine.
From Yangxiu Township, it’s 27 kilometers to the Visitor Center, about 40 minutes.

2️⃣ Tickets: 183 RMB (includes scenic area ticket 138 + shuttle bus 45)
✨ With a tour guide certificate, the entrance ticket is waived, only need to pay 45 for the shuttle bus.
After buying tickets at the Visitor Center, take the scenic area bus to Outer Lake, which takes 20 minutes. If you want to go to Inner Lake, many locals will ask if you want to go in.

3️⃣ Inner Lake accommodation is 100 RMB per person, with three guesthouses, all priced the same. We checked all three: two are Tibetan stone houses with dormitory-style rooms, each big room has six or seven beds. The other is run by two brothers, with private rooms having two beds each, offering better privacy.
*If you stay overnight, you can negotiate free pick-up and drop-off with the owner. Otherwise, the round trip from Outer Lake to Inner Lake usually costs 100 RMB. (If you just want to visit Inner Lake without staying, you can negotiate prices, ranging from 50 to 80 RMB.)

4️⃣ Bring plenty of food or snacks if possible, there’s not much to eat at Inner Lake, only instant noodles haha. But there are plenty of bottled water, Coke, and Sprite.
Haha, if you’re in a group, bring playing cards. It gets pretty boring after dark here, and there aren’t many entertainment options.

5️⃣ Temperature ranges from 4 to 12 degrees Celsius. I wore a softshell jacket plus a down vest, thick jeans, and long socks, and didn’t feel cold. Be sure to wear a softshell jacket or bring an umbrella, as it rains off and on.

6️⃣ I was so eager to hike from Outer Lake to Inner Lake, but after taking photos at the popular bridge, it started raining. So we asked the owner to drive us to the Inner Lake accommodation. We waited for the rain to stop before starting to take photos around. Looking forward to a clear day tomorrow for a good hike.
