Just got back from China not long ago, and here we are eating Chinese food again.
Today, we're having La Meow.
The branch we're visiting today is The Mall Bangkapi.
Since we've never eaten at this place before and didn't look up any info beforehand,
the first time we went in, we had to ask the staff what to do and how to order.
We roughly knew that for mala, you have to scoop it into a bowl and then weigh it,
but what I really wanted to eat was the fish boiled with pickled mustard greens 🐟.
There are two types of fish boiled with pickled mustard greens here:
📍 Small size uses dory fish.
It comes as a single bowl or a set.
You can add tofu skin; we ordered the set.
📍 Large size uses sea bass.
Mala by weight is 49 baht per 100 grams.
You can choose soup or dry stir-fry.
🌶️ Spice level is selectable.
💥 Saltiness level is selectable (very good, I like it 👍🏼).
There are many other menu items you can order as well.
As for the taste, it's delicious. We ordered it not too spicy and not too salty,
so the flavor was balanced and rich. The fish boiled with pickled mustard greens was full of flavor.
