Cities you shouldn't miss when visiting Spain 🍷🥘

A day trip in Barcelona. After seeing all the theft and even robbery stories on 🍠, I was deeply anxious. I bought phone lanyards, waist bags, and suitcase locks (though the delivery didn't arrive in time). Ended up carrying the shabby bag from the flight and walked 27 kilometers through the streets, leaving my shoulders and hands sore from the straps 😅
🌿 Park Güell (also known as Güell Park) is worth visiting—mainly for the cool mountain breeze and the view of this small city, where only Gaudí’s unfinished masterpiece, the Sagrada Família, and a few other scattered high-rises stand out. Strolling around the surrounding neighborhoods is also quite pleasant.
🍽️ Had lunch at a small roadside eatery called Disbauxa, which seemed mostly frequented by locals. No fellow travelers had checked in on Dianping yet. The food was delicious—I originally went for the squid, but they said it’s only available on Thursdays and weekends.
⛪️ Booked the Sagrada Família too late and couldn’t get tickets, so I just admired it from the outside. Compared to the photos online showing the light streaming through the stained glass inside, I’d say you really need to be inside to experience the architectural beauty and the play of light.
🧩 Passed by Casa Batlló—another place where you probably need to go inside to fully appreciate it. The surrounding area is bustling with the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and shops like Zara and Ou Tiger, packed with crowds. In contrast, the streets near the cathedral were much more comfortable to explore.
🥃 In the evening, I sat quietly on the rooftop of Hotel Colón across from the cathedral. The exterior details of the cathedral are far more intricate than those of Gaudí’s Sagrada Família.
📍 Search for "Hotel Colón Barcelona" or "Lamaro Hotel." Note: Gaode Maps has a "Colon" that’s mistranslated to the wrong location 😂.
