💦 Travel Preparation:
No need to mention essentials like ID cards, phone chargers, and power banks! Sunscreen is absolutely crucial—make sure to bring high SPF sunscreen and sun-protective clothing 🧴 There are quite a few mosquitoes on the island, so don’t forget mosquito repellent~ Bright-colored clothes look great in photos, so pack several sets 🌈 Also bring swimsuits and about 10 sets of clothes for your kids to change into (since they’ll be playing in the water often, about 2 sets per day).

🏡 Weizhou Island Homestay Recommendation: 📍Mu Yan Xi
We stayed at two homestays on this trip, and I highly recommend this one 👍🏻 It’s only 100 meters from the sea, so kids can run to the beach anytime to play in the sand or explore the tide pools—super convenient! The rooftop is also an excellent spot to watch the sunrise 🌅 The host is very thoughtful, helping with luggage, welcoming guests with fruit, offering free shuttle service from the pier, and providing breakfast. Traveling with kids, staying here really saves you a lot of hassle.
🚗 Island Transportation: Renting an electric scooter is very cost-effective and you can even bargain ✌️ Usually 50 RMB/day or 25 RMB/half day.
