Walking the World Heritage Site "Beijing Central Axis"

Beijing Central Axis, a registered World Heritage Site. There are many huge gates, befitting the capital. From Yongdingmen to Qianmen, Zhengyangmen, Tiananmen, Duanmen, Wumen, Taihemen... Today I came to Qianmen Street in front of Zhengyangmen. There are many shops lined up, and the atmosphere is great. Quanjude Original Store, said to be the origin of Peking duck (Beijing roast duck: Beijing kaoya), has a solid exterior and a gorgeous and luxurious interior, and the chef will cut it in front of you. The crispy skin is eaten with sugar, and the sweetness and fat are very delicious! It is also delicious to eat the skin and meat wrapped in rice skin together. The staff at the store were also kind and tried hard to teach me how to eat it. It was a store that was founded in 1864 and is truly proud of its history. After the meal, I had matcha soft serve ice cream at Wu Yutai, a long-established tea shop outside. It is a store that is reputed to have a very rich and delicious taste, and there was a line even though it was the middle of winter. I also tried drinking tea with it, which was great! If you go into the surrounding alleys, you'll find some pretty deep shops, which is fun. It's easy to access as Zhengyangmen Station is nearby on the Beijing subway, and it's also recommended to go to the Forbidden City from there through Tiananmen Square. 🏖️Atmosphere/Facilities: Fun📍Location: Qianmen Street #Qianmen Street #Zhengyangmen #Beijing Central Axis #Quanjude
