Every autumn, people start looking forward to the ginkgo turning yellow, which is the moment that best captures the essence of fall. However, most of Beijing's ginkgo trees only reach their peak viewing period in late October, leaving those who long for autumn eagerly waiting.
This early autumn, I unexpectedly came across a vast golden ginkgo forest—truly a delightful and stunning surprise! This is the Nancai Ginkgo Park located in Shunyi, an ecological park themed around ginkgo trees. It has planted over 2,500 acres with nearly 60,000 ginkgo trees, making it the largest ginkgo forest in Beijing.
⭐️Highlights:
1. Due to the large park area and few visitors, you can enjoy the feeling of having the whole place to yourself anywhere in the vast garden.
2. The ginkgo trees in the park stretch as far as the eye can see. The viewing period starts in early October, and fallen leaves are not deliberately cleared, accumulating over time like a thick golden carpet, making the autumn colors even richer.
📸Photography Tips:
1. Ginkgo trees are generally tall, so when shooting close-up portraits, try to find one or two low-hanging branches as foreground elements to create a more atmospheric composition.
2. When shooting inside the forest, lighting can be insufficient, so consider using some supplementary lighting equipment.
3. Use the park benches to create height differences for shots, and shoot upward with the golden canopy as the background.
4. Choose spots covered with golden fallen leaves for photos to create a more painterly effect.
5. Bring some props to enrich the scene and add fun to your photos.
6. Best photo times: sunny days from 9:00-11:00 AM and 3:00-5:00 PM.
📍Address & Transportation: 40 meters south of Beicai South Road, Shunyi District. Suitable for driving; just search for "Nancai Ginkgo Park." There is a parking lot opposite the park entrance.
🕑Opening Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, free admission
👉Tips for Visiting:
1. Besides ginkgo viewing, it’s great for relaxing, strolling, and playing with kids. The park has a children’s activity area, forest fitness zone, shaded walking paths, and other all-age-friendly facilities, equipped with accessible pathways and wooden boardwalk systems.
2. Shared bikes are allowed inside the park; riding a bike is a time-saving and effortless way to enjoy the scenery.
3. The park currently lacks retail outlets and facilities.
