Gubei Water Town in Autumn

If you are traveling to Beijing, you should set aside 2 days and 1 night to visit Gubei Water Town, a resort located 140km from downtown Beijing. The town is situated right at the foot of the Great Wall (Simatai section), so you can combine a visit to the Great Wall with exploring the water town. Additionally, there is a natural hot spring area where you can relax after a day of climbing and walking.
This place is especially beautiful in autumn because, being in the mountains, the leaves turn yellow and red faster than in central Beijing.
