Visiting Wae Rebo in Flores, Indonesia was like walking into a living postcard. After a long trek through misty mountains and forests, I finally reached the remote village, and the sight of the traditional cone-shaped houses (Mbaru Niang) took my breath away. The whole place felt peaceful, surrounded by green hills and clouds drifting low. Meeting the locals was the best part, they were so warm and welcoming, sharing stories and traditions that have been passed down for generations. Spending the night there, under a sky full of stars, made the experience even more magical. Wae Rebo wasn’t just a destination, it felt like a journey back in time.
