Beijing's oldest commercial street, located near the Drum and Bell Towers and Houhai Lake.
Vibe: Historically a hub for selling smoking pipes and antiques, the lane is now lined with souvenir shops, traditional craft stores, cafes, and bars.
Look and feel: The street's distinctive slanted shape and elegant Ming and Qing-style architecture make it unique. The street's layout is said to resemble a smoking pipe.
