If you’re on the hunt for yummy eats while hitting up Wangfujing’s shopping hotspots, make sure you swing by Beijing apm mall (Address: 138 Wangfujing Ave, Dongcheng District, Beijing) for a foodie adventure that’s so worth it! 😋
Head straight up to the top floor, aka the secret level for hungry shopaholics 🚀. It’s packed with Chinese restaurants repping flavors from all over the country, and Fei Da Chu (Chef Fei 费大厨) is THE spot if you love a bit of spice. Their Hunan cuisine brings the heat, but don’t stress—there are loads of milder, non-spicy bites too!
What sets Chef Fei apart? They serve rice fresh out of personal rice cookers, and you can refill as much as you want. Unlimited hot rice = total win! 🍚🔥
Here’s what I tried:
1) Century Eggs, Green Pepper & Eggplant
These three get mashed together into a creamy, dreamy topping. Trust me, this mix + hot rice = happiness in a bowl!
2) Steamed Egg
So smooth it’s almost like pudding, topped with minced meat and soy sauce. Pro tip: Ask for a spoon—the texture is soft.
3) Stir-Fried Meat with Pepper
The green pepper kicks up the flavor but keeps the spice chill, and the ‘wok hei’ (wok taste) is on point. Serious foodies will vibe with this!
4) Casserole Vermicelli
Slippery vermicelli totally soaked in savory sauces. Must-eat status for real!
5) Stir-Fried Cauliflower
Crunchy, caramelized, and another wok-flavored gem on the table.
Wash it all down with their jumbo iced lemon tea (it’s massive 🍋🧊) and don’t miss out on the free ice cream dessert—they seriously hook you up after your meal.
