Beppu Onsen boasts the highest number of hot springs in Japan, both in terms of the number of hot springs and the volume of hot spring water. The steam rising from various parts of town really heightens the sense of adventure. This time, I enjoyed a tour of Beppu's hells, open-air baths, and local cuisine!
During the tour of the hells, I was deeply moved by the colorful hot springs of "Sea Hell" and "Blood Pond Hell." The power of nature is truly amazing. At night, I spent a truly relaxing time gazing at the starry sky in the inn's open-air bath. 🌌
Beppu is a relaxing place for solo travelers, couples, and anyone. Hot spring lovers should definitely visit! Next time, I'd like to go in the winter and enjoy a snow-viewing bath. ❄️

The hot spring town is within walking distance of JR Beppu Station, and the hells are about a 15-minute bus ride away. From Oita Airport, it's about a 50-minute airport bus ride away.
