Biei: A place that stays in your heart after just one photo.

Is there a place you've seen in a photo that left such a deep impression, you promised yourself you'd visit it in your lifetime? For me, this might be the most beautiful flower garden I've ever seen.

In the summer, Biei in Hokkaido hides a 15-hectare "Rainbow Carpet" known as Shikisai no Oka. On the rolling hills, over 30 types of flowers such as lavender, sunflowers, lupines, and cosmos paint the landscape in patches of yellow, purple, red, and orange. It resembles a crumpled oil painting stretched from your feet all the way to the base of the Tokachi Mountain Range.
