Lovely historical house, but the real jewel is the extensive gardens. I went on a lovely sunny day and everything was in bloom

What a gem of a place so peaceful to walk round the lovely gardens. There’s a bridge to walk over with a stream/pond and very large leaves from some of the plants. We had a walk round the house which was nice to read and see how the Nettlefold family lived the years there.
Was a nice restaurant that served nice food, has it was a nice hot.
Day well spent will go again to discover more plants and botanical wonders. The parking was a hassle though as the space is quite limited, had to park far away. You can buy tickets on the spot. No real value in pre-booking.
