The Chocolate Hills, a signature attraction of Bohol Island in the Philippines, are famous for their unique landscape of over 600 hills stretching endlessly. During the dry season (December to May), the grass turns brown, resembling chocolate, which is how they got their name. In the rainy season, the hills are covered in lush green, offering a completely different charm.
The entrance fee to the observation deck is about 100 pesos, and it takes approximately an hour and a half by car from Bohol's city center (Tagbilaran). From the observation deck, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the endless hills.
Although it's a short stop, the Chocolate Hills are a highlight you can't miss on a trip to Bohol. It's especially beautiful at sunset when the red glow descends upon the hills, so make sure to visit at the right time!
If you're visiting Bohol, the Chocolate Hills observation deck is a must-visit destination to include in your itinerary!
