Brașov: A city where the past is not left behind

We strolled along the town square, the last golden light of day slowly fading through the shadows of the old buildings, to a restaurant called Cucinino Pasta Bar.
I had seen this restaurant on YouTube, "Inside Transylvania - EPIC ROMANIAN FOOD + Wild Stews in Brasov, Romania!", reviewed by Mark Wiens.
I had secretly memorized the name of the restaurant, jokingly thinking, "I'd love to sit here someday."
And today... I was sitting there.
Who says dinner has to be serious? They start with a beer foam almost as high as a hop lover's dream. The white foam overflowed like a celebration.
The large pan of pasta—chewy noodles, a rich sauce, large shrimps, mussels, and a hint of herbs—tasted like an Italian in a Romanian kitchen. It was truly as delicious as Mark had said.
I can't remember what we ordered, but I do remember it being the best meal of the trip.
We left the restaurant laughing.
But the chilly wind hit us, around 4 degrees.
Thankfully, we didn't just choose... “Eat the atmosphere.”
We chose the restaurant we wanted to visit—and it was even warmer than soup on a cold night.
