Brussels One-Day Tour Guide

🥐 Mornings in the Marolles, where old furniture lines the flea markets and the smell of fresh waffles slips out from narrow storefronts. Not perfect, but real. A kind of lived-in charm that doesn’t pretend.
🕍 Grand Place still stuns. It doesn’t matter how many photos you’ve seen, the gold glints, the stone rises, and for a moment you just stand there, quiet, like everyone else. A postcard you get to step inside.
🎨 Walked past comic murals without even planning to, just stumbled into Tintin and Spirou on the sides of buildings. That mix of serious history and playful street art, so Brussels.
🍺 Had beer in a tiny bar down a cobbled alley, the kind where the lighting’s low and the menu’s hand-scribbled. Locals ordered without looking. I just said, “Something Belgian?” The bartender smiled and poured something cold, amber, and honest.
🍫 Chocolatiers everywhere, some with lines out the door, others so quiet they feel like secrets. Walked out of one with a tiny box, sat on a bench near Parc de Bruxelles, and made it last as long as I could.
