A day in Bucharest: walking around and exploring the city on foot

#europeonbudget

A good and affordable way to be a tourist in Bucharest is to explore the landmarks of the city on your own. The city is safe, easily navigable and has good roads. Many of its attractions are free to visit, including the parks and churches. Some highlights (pictured) include the Parliamentary Palace, Kretzulescu Church, Cismigiu Gardens, The Church of Stavropoleos Monastery, The Choral Temple and St Anthony’s church. All of these are within walking distance from the Old Town, where you can find delicious food at affordable prices. There is no better way to see the city as it gives you a flexible, spontaneous approach with a low budget and a chance to see spectacular architecture
