Budva was one of the highlights of my travels. This Montenegrin gem perfectly combined vibrant coastal energy, rich history, and postcard-perfect scenery. From the moment I arrived, I felt drawn to the charm of the Old Town (Stari Grad) — its narrow cobblestone streets, historic walls, and hidden corners were full of surprises. I spent hours wandering, discovering small shops selling local crafts and cafés tucked into quiet courtyards.
Of course, Budva is famous for its beaches, and I made it a point to explore a few. Slovenska Plaza is ideal if you love long stretches of sand and a lively atmosphere. For something quieter, I hopped on a short boat ride to Sveti Nikola Island, where pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters made it a little slice of paradise. Swimming in the warm Adriatic, with the green mountains framing the sea, was unforgettable.
One of my favorite experiences was the hike to Mogren Beach, connected to the Old Town by a scenic coastal path. The views of the turquoise sea crashing against the rocky cliffs were breathtaking, and the beach itself felt like a hidden treasure.
Beyond the beaches and the Old Town, I also ventured into the countryside, taking a short trip to Lovćen National Park. It was a perfect contrast to the coast, with stunning mountain landscapes and even more incredible views over Montenegro.
Budva captured my heart with its beauty, history, and Mediterranean vibes. It’s the perfect destination to relax, explore, and embrace the best of the Adriatic!
