The Ismaili Samanid Mausoleum, Somoniylar Maqbarasi, is a 10th-century building and work of art. A walk through the trees and greenery, you'll notice none of the intimidating elements of the Bek Mausoleum. A visit here is highly recommended.
The entrance fee is 15,000 Uzbek koruna, and the mausoleum itself is a single tomb, said to be the tomb of a 10th-century king who ruled Iran, Afghanistan, and the entire Turkic Empire. While there's not much to see inside, the architecture is worth a look, as it's completely free of pilings.
